Recorded over seven days at Salla da mara “View of the Sea” Baddachro, a stunning location in the north of Scotland.
The beautiful wooden finished cottage overlooked Gairloch, it was perfect for the recording. There was a large living room
that had quite nice reflective surfaces for the sound. We were surrounded by trees, birds and stags! (It bellowed unseen one night,
reg and Pabs had been by the fire and decided to retreat to the safety of the cottage!
It was a great week, although Greg and Stu’s cider filled adventure did test Derek’s patience as he tried to record the drums on the
first day.
After a few days of recording Derek took us to a hidden gem of a pub, the Baddachro Inn. Pabs fell in love with it, he ignored the midges
as he looked over the loch, watching as the fish leaped from the waters.
Quiet Act was a welcome break from the noise fest we usually indulge in. Simple songs and as time has gone by the lyrics had more meaning
han first appeared.
